How to stake $YUM on Cacaoswap:
1. Get $YUM
– You can buy $YUM.axl on FIN, Kujira’s native DEX. Simply search for $YUM.axl and buy it with USDC.
2. Go to the Website
– Search for Cacao Swap’s official website and select the Earn/Stake section.
3. Connect your Wallet and Stake
– Click on “connect to a wallet” on the top right side, choose your wallet (for example Keplr), choose Kujira network and you are ready to stake. Remember that you always need a bit KUJI for gas fees.
4. $vYUM Token
– If you stake $YUM you will receive $vYUM which is an auto-compounding, composable, real-yield liquid staking token. $vYUM will increase in price relative to $YUM and may be used to mint stables, lend/borrow and more across EVM and Cosmos.
$YUM token launch
$YUM.axl was the first Cacao Swap token which launched on Pilot. Pilot is a Kujira native launchpad with a fair launch auction system. Lets dive into the $YUM Token details.
$YUM token launch explained:
1. Launch on Pilot
– In June 2024, Cacao Swap launched it’s $YUM.axl token on Pilot. With a average price of 0.0519 USDC and a total raise of $415.3k USDC a great amount for a still small project during a dark market situation.
2. Funding
– Interesting is that the team had no previous funding, the core contributors paid all the building costs from their own bag. There were no seed or pre-seed allocations made.
3. $YUM Token Model
– There are multiple $YUM token for multiple blockchains. $YUM on ETH, $YUM on Arbitrum and $YUM.axl on Kujira.
4. Token Utility
– There are two main token utilities.
Utility one is the revenue share. 100% of the revenue generated through fee’s, liquidity provision, savings deposits, synthetics minting and more will be shared amongst $YUM stakers.
Utility two are governance rights, this means that $YUM stakeholders can vote once the Cacao Swap DAO is established.
Tokenomics
The Tokenomics are also a bit special in terms of how they are build. Lets have a look.
$YUM Tokenomics:
1. Total Supply
The total supply is 100m $YUM with a genesis supply of 81% and a 14 month vesting. This means the token is not inflationary after reaching the 100m $YUM hard cap, which is a great sign.
2. 43% Treasury
– These funds support the operational aspect of the project, alongside with the continuous development and long-term sustainability. Controlled by the multi-sig from the Cacao Swap DAO
3. 30% Liquidity efforts
– 30% of the total supply are used to provide a deep liquidity for better trading and less slippage.
4. 11% core contributors
– Funds for the team, unlocking linear for 12 months, starting on Month 2.
5. 8% Voldrop
– The Voldrop rewards active traders. It works in a four-season format for a year where each quarter 25% of the Voldrop allocation are distributed.
6. 8% Airdrop
